InMagboard Sheathing offers exceptional shear strength, fire resistance, and structural performance, all in a single-layer solution.
InMag wall sheathing panels are fire-resistant, high-density, structural magnesium oxide cement panels. When used as an exterior wall sheathing, InMag panels can replace other sheathing materials in certain assemblies, potentially reducing the number of layers required.
In common with all InMagboard products, InMagboard Sheathing is non-combustible for up to 2-hour fire rating, and has exceptional load-bearing strength.
Uniquely, these exceptional composite characteristics come from a single integral panel – a lightweight solution which cannot delaminate and is resistant to water, mold and insect damage.
Features
Non-combustible
Non-combustible as per ASTM E136 and IBC & IRC approved for up to 2-hour fire ratings. An excellent alternative for both wood and steel framing.
Durability
Reinforced glass fibre internal structure of the boards makes them highly durable and resistant to impact against seismic and lateral wind.
Quick & Simple to Install
Lightweight and easy to install – perfect for easy handling and quick installation. Single trade fitted for on-site efficiency and reduced build times.
Water, Mold & Insect Resistant
Inorganic cementitious materials do not grow mold (per ASTM G 21 0/0), and ensure zero nutritional value for complete resistance to termites and all wood-boring insects.
Sound Insulating
A unique formulation which can help building designers and contractors achieve critical sound ratings, with the ability to reach 55+ STC/IIC ratings.
Dimension Stability
Manufactured to industry-leading tolerances for on- and off-site precision. Resistance to water means panels remains structural while wet, and will not delaminate, warp, expand or bow in high-moisture, high-humidity environments.

Developed over more than two decades and rigorously tested in different labs across US and Canada. InMagboard panels deliver industry-leading testing results from fire resistance and sound insulation to shear, deflection, and shear diaphragm strength.

- Worked with regular wood working tools (cuts with a standard carbide tip).
- Mechanically fastened directly to steel (screwed) or wood (nailed) framing studs.
